Mieko Kawakami is one of Japan’s most prominent contemporary authors and achieved her major breakthrough with "Breasts and Eggs". This fall, she will be a guest on the writers’ stage for a conversation about “Heaven,” a finalist for the 2022 International Booker Prize—an existential novel about alienation, friendship, and survival.
