Terms of Use
Last updated: 5 November 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Händer for using the Händer website at vad-hander.com and the Händer app (together, the “Service”). Please read them; by creating an account, or by using the Service without one, you accept them. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of how the Service works but is not a contract term you sign up to.
1. Who we are
The Service is provided by Hander AB, a Swedish private limited company, organisation number [organisation number], registered address [registered address] (“Händer”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at info@vad-hander.com, and about personal data at privacy@vad-hander.com.
2. What Händer is
Händer helps you find things to do in Stockholm and make plans with other people. You can browse events, venues, organisers and artists; save events you like; create your own private events and invite people; start or join clubs that meet again and again; answer invitations; and ask us to help find a venue. The Service is free to use. We may add, change or remove features over time.
3. Using Händer and your account
- You can browse and save events without an account. Creating events, joining clubs and some other features need an account. You can sign up with your email address, with Sign in with Apple or with Google; those sign-in providers' own terms also apply to your use of them.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, please use Händer with your parent's or guardian's knowledge.
- Give us accurate details, keep your sign-in safe, and tell us at info@vad-hander.com if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
- An account is for one person. Don't create accounts for others or in someone else's name.
4. Event listings and tickets
- Most events on Händer are public events by venues and organisers. We gather the information from their own public pages and other public sources and present it in one place. We work to keep it right, but times, prices and details can change, be wrong, or the event can be cancelled. Always check with the organiser before you go or pay.
- Händer does not sell tickets and is not the organiser of public events. When you buy a ticket or book through a link on Händer, you deal with that seller or organiser on their terms.
- If you organise or run a venue and want a listing corrected or removed, write to info@vad-hander.com.
- “Help me book”: when you ask us to help find a venue, we pass your request to venues we think fit and help you along. We cannot promise that a venue is available or agrees to your request. Any booking or agreement is between you and the venue, on its terms.
5. Private events, clubs and invitations
- When you create a private event or a club, you are its host or admin and responsible for it: what it says, who you invite, and what happens there. Händer provides the tools; we are not a party to the plans you make with others.
- The people running an event or a club see the names and answers of those who answer or join, and the messages sent to them. Guests can answer some invitations without an account, with their name and email address.
- Only invite people by email if you have good reason to think they would welcome it, for example friends, colleagues or members. Don't use invitations, messages or clubs to send advertising or unsolicited messages. We email the people you invite on your behalf, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Links you add, for example to a group chat or an Instagram page, lead to other services with their own terms.
- Meeting people you don't know well: use your own judgement, meet in public places when you can, and contact the police on 112 in an emergency.
6. What you put on Händer
You keep the rights to what you add to the Service: event and club names and descriptions, cover pictures, your profile picture, messages, answers, suggestions and the like (“your content”). So that we can run the Service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, show, adapt (for example resize a picture or show it in a share preview) and send your content to the people it is meant for, for as long as it is on the Service. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies others already received (for example a message emailed to a club's members) and backups we keep for a short time.
You promise that you have the right to share your content, that pictures of other people are shared with their permission, and that your content follows these terms and the law.
7. Rules for using Händer
Don't use the Service to:
- break the law, or help someone else break it;
- harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against anyone, or share hateful content;
- share sexual content, violent content, or anything that sexualises minors;
- share someone else's personal data without their permission, or impersonate anyone;
- send spam, chain messages or advertising, or sell tickets or services in a misleading way;
- copy or collect data from the Service with bots or scrapers, or use it to build a competing listing, except as allowed by law;
- try to get around security or access limits, test the Service's vulnerability, or put an unreasonable load on it;
- infringe someone's copyright, trademark or other rights.
If you see something that breaks these rules, tell us at info@vad-hander.com or with “Tell us what you think” in the app.
8. When we may act
If content or behaviour breaks these terms or the law, or puts others at risk, we may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close the account involved. We act in proportion to what happened and, where we can and the law allows, tell you why and give you a chance to respond. You can contact us if you think we got it wrong.
9. Your ideas and feedback
We are glad to hear what you think. If you send us an idea or feedback, we may use it to improve Händer without owing you anything for it. Screenshots and details you send with feedback are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Email and notifications
We send the emails needed to run your account and the plans you take part in (for example confirmations, invitations, changes to an event and reminders). Tips and news by email, and push notifications in the app, come only if you said yes, and you can turn them off at any time in your account settings, in the app, or in your phone's settings.
11. Händer's rights
The Service, its design, software, name and logo belong to Händer or our licensors. These terms give you a personal right to use the Service as intended; they don't give you any other right to our brand or material. Event information shown on Händer may belong to the venues and organisers it comes from.
12. Other services
Händer links to and works with services we don't control, such as ticket sellers, maps, group chats, Apple, Google and the app stores. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them.
13. Availability
We work to keep the Service running and secure, but we can't promise it will always be available, without errors, or that every feature stays the same. We may need to pause it for maintenance or changes.
14. Responsibility
Händer is a free service provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for: events, venues, tickets or bookings by others; what other users do, say or share; plans made between users; or indirect losses such as lost profit. We are responsible for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, and nothing in these terms limits liability or rights that cannot be limited under Swedish law, including your rights as a consumer.
15. Ending
You can stop using Händer at any time and delete your account yourself, in the app (Account › Privacy and data › Delete my account) or on your account page on the website. We may stop offering the Service, or close an account under section 8; if we stop offering the Service, we will tell account holders in reasonable time beforehand where we can. Sections 6, 9, 11, 14 and 17 continue to apply after the agreement ends where relevant.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service changes. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the Service or by email at least 30 days before it applies, unless it must apply sooner for legal or security reasons. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before then; if you keep using Händer, the new terms apply. The date at the top shows the latest version.
17. Law and disputes
Swedish law applies to these terms. If something goes wrong, please contact us first at info@vad-hander.com and we will try to sort it out. As a consumer you can also take a dispute to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, arn.se). Disputes are otherwise settled by Swedish courts. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country.
18. If you use the app from Apple's App Store
- These terms are between you and Händer, not Apple. Händer, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no warranty obligation for the app; questions, complaints or claims about the app (including product liability, legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection, and claims that the app infringes someone's intellectual property rights) are for Händer to handle, not Apple.
- You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you as far as they concern the app. Apple's Usage Rules in the App Store terms also apply.
If you use the app from Google Play, Google Play's terms of service also apply to how you get the app.
