A powerful evening of music, memory and forgotten voices. Benjamin Staern’s Letter to My Child, based on Ilse Weber’s poems from Theresienstadt, intertwines klezmer and modernism. Experience music by Erwin Schulhoff, two world premieres by Staern and Dan Theorin, and Persian, Jewish and Indian-inspired sounds. After the interval, Negar Zarassi performs music by Falla, Mozart, Puccini and Iranian composer Anoushirvan Rouhani.
