Mahler med Hovkapellet
From the feeling of falling through a black hole to bird calls, heartbreak and a funeral march based on Broder Jakob. When Kungliga Hovkapellet and music director Alan Gilbert take to the Gasometer stage, they are joined by court singer Peter Mattei. Together they offer a concert with music that moves between the almost inaudible and the full power of the large orchestra – with Mahler's first symphony as the evening's climax.
